This 2-part AVID tutor training is designed to advance the skills of tutors by modeling and practicing effective tutorial group strategies, developing higher order questioning techniques, reviewing methods for working with students' writing and math problems, and providing an opportunity for tutors to discuss and solve problems.
Familiarize new AVID elective teachers/coordinators with AVID methodologies. Participants will develop lesson plans and exchange ideas with novices and "pros".
