The Site Team Conference is designed to support the collaborative work of the AVID site teams to: Develop and work toward schoolwide goals which insure that all students have access to knowledge and mainstream activities of the school, Be aware and act on assumptions and practices at the school that enhance or inhibit equal access, Promote the use of instructional methodologies which enhance student access to rigorous curriculum, Focus on changes in school organization which needs to result as a consequence of new conceptions regarding teaching and learning, Ensure institutionalization of AVID as a schoolwide program, and Develop an interdisciplinary vertical learning community.
